The Alternative.

In order to see birds it is necessary to become part of the silence.

An old soul is the last thing you would expect to find inside Valtteri Topias Kujala. But all it takes is one listen to the 19 year-old electro-instrumental phenomenon to realize that he is light years ahead of his manufactured pop peers.

Valtteri Topias Kujala was born in the city of Oulu, Finland, on April 14, 1991.

Valtteri strated playing piano at very young age. He studied at the Oulu Conservatory and Oulu University and soon became one of the most renowed studio musicians (keyboards), arrangers and producers in internet. He started his music career with the instrumental compositions "Intro" and "Winter Bells". The online releases that Valtteri produced in his own studio, are internationally successful and made his sound known throughout the world.

Valtteri – "The Piano is not an artist and it’s not a group. it’s a project, brand, an idea." Valtteri Kujala, for whom The Piano is the realisation of a childhood dream, did not want his project to be connected to "record label based music" – his goal was to establish The Piano as a symbol for experimental and unique music. "The people will like it without knowing anything about it, without any information."

"It is music for everybody. It’s intellectual but it has a very simple naive feeling" – a feeling that at the time was world wide, probably one of the reasons – if not the decisive one – for it’s world wide success. The new sound was well-recieved in the USA, in Greece, Italy, Finland, Emirates, Germany, Taiwan, the UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand  - in countries with different cultures, tastes and traditions.

The Piano stands for style, creativity, and progress. Composer and pianist Valtteri Kujala implements stringent design and quality standards to produce superior musical compositions.
